For an author, what matters is less how much they have published than how their work has been received: significant reviews in reliable outlets, major awards, or a recognised influence on their genre. For an academic, notability can rest on demonstrable impact in their discipline.

Q.I've published several books - am I notable enough?

Output alone does not establish notability. Wikipedia looks at how your work has been received: substantial independent reviews, major awards, or documented influence. We assess that reception honestly before recommending any work.

Q.Do academic citations count towards notability?

They can contribute, as evidence of impact in your field, alongside honours, named positions and independent coverage. Wikipedia's academic notability standards are specific, and we assess against them rather than citation counts alone.

Q.Can the page list all my publications?

A selected, properly presented bibliography is normal, but the article must remain a neutral biography rather than a promotional catalogue. We follow the encyclopedia's conventions for author and academic entries.
